I bought this toy for myself out of curiousity. Ive always been a spider-man fan since I was a kid and loved the idea of shooting a web from some gizmo attached to your wrist like Spidey. Its basically a can of silly string with a special top/lid that allows it to spray parallel to the can instead of 90 degrees like normal areosol cans, plus a plastic metal gadget that allows you to fasten it to your wrist/forearm. You slap it on with velcro straps and touch the trigger that lays in the middle of your palm and it sprays out the blue silly string. The amount of string that the can sprays out doesnt take that long to run out and the size of the unit is a little bulky (guess I was expecting the super small webshooters Spidey has in the comics you can barely see) You do have to be careful where you shoot it, it will take a bit to clean off walls or carpet or furniture, and may stain if it gets on those items. So shooting it on something like a large carboard box or outside is best. The... Read more

My son loves this toy, but I don't give it a 5 because I have to monitor his access to it for two reasons:
1. He can only play with it outside because it shoots either water or silly string.
2. The silly string replacements are expensive so he uses it sparingly. (not much fun for a 5 year old to conserve).

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed on Christmas, December 25, 2010

I had a feeling this would be one of those toys that I regretted purchasing but my son (7) REALLY REALLY wanted it for Christmas. So, after opening it last night, we see that it's an accessorized can of silly string. . . a really expensive can of silly string. The directions also say not to spray on walls, vinyl, doors, paint, etc. basically anything a little boy would want to spray it on. He used up the rest of the can just spraying it out the door because it was too hard to use with the glove and all that. What a waste! Definitely the worst toy over $10 we've ever bought.
