A rubber knife is a great toy for a boy to play with and learn about the responsibility associated with knives in general. It is difficult to find a rubber Bowie knife like this one. The huge handle provides good weight and control while the blade itself is as safe for sparring as you can get. (As always with training with weapons though; stay away from the face!) As long as this product is used for what it's intended for, blade sparring and practicing disarming techniques, it's a joy to work with.
